What is a special legal project? Occasionally, attorneys will meet someone new with a legal issue that piques their interest. Even though the issue may be outside of the area of law that the attorney practices on a day to day basis, it may be an issue they are passionate about, or an area of law they have a great deal of familiarity with though the legal circumstances don’t commonly arise. When these circumstances do arise, this may be a matter that the attorney wants to take on (and has the time and ability to do so). That’s a special legal project. If it’s a matter the attorney cannot undertake, at least the attorney can guide you to a proper referral. Additionally, there are many areas of law that are interrelated to Allen Legal’s primary areas of practice–for instance, estate planning requires knowledge of real estate law and transactions; business planning requires knowledge of contract law and negotiation skills; and sometimes a person or family has no one they can rely on as a fiduciary to act as their power of attorney, personal representative, or trustee. Therefore, if you need assistance with a legal issue that doesn’t exactly fit inside one of these legal boxes, you can always contact Allen Legal to see if it’s something we can help you with. Please note that Allen Legal does not represent individuals in criminal and family law matters, and does not represent individuals applying for Social Security SSI or SSDI Benefits.
